Three things we do not compromise on

Materials with a history
Vegetable-tanned hides from a single Devon tannery, undyed wool felt from Yorkshire, and solid brass machined two miles from the bench.

Cut and stitched by hand
Saddle-stitched with waxed linen and burnished over four passes. No glue holds a seam together here, and every rivet is set by hand.

Repaired, not replaced
Send anything back and we will re-stitch, re-edge or re-line it for the cost of postage, for as long as the workshop is open.

Alder Objects is run by four people in a converted barn in Somerset. We keep the range deliberately short so that every object gets the time it needs.
